Wednesday, November 19, 2008 from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM (ET)
Presented in conjunction with Angel Bryan and Christopher Washington from Family Trust Federal Credit Please plan to join us at beautiful Pine Island on Wednesday, November 19th at 9:00am. From 9-12pm we will participate in a poverty simulation experience designed to help participants begin to understand what it might be like to live in a typical low-income family trying to survive from month to month. Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008 | 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. For meeting details and chapter news, visit our web site: www.astdmidlands.org
How does this relate to the training profession? You will see through the debrief the value of simulations in enhancing the learning experience, you will have the chance to experience the day in the life of one of your students, your peers, or your customers, and you will be given the opportunity to enhance your relationship with other members of the ASTD Midlands chapter.
Please plan to bring a guest! It could be someone in training, a co-worker, or even a friend. Anyone involved in your organization's HR department or in your diversity initiatives will not want to miss this opportunity. Guest meeting fees will be waived for this experience.
We hope you will join us for this very important meeting at a time when we will all be giving THANKS!
NOTE: Not our normal meeting date for November.
